Today morning, I read an article about a dog by the name Pom Pom being tied to a red plastic bag and placed next to a rubbish bin at EastCoast park. I really pitied the dog that was found by 10 friends almost lifeless with the bag filled with pee and poo. I can practically imagine myself in the shoes of dear Pom Pom. Pom Pom must have been really cold, afraid and breathless in the plastic bag. I wonder how many days that have passed before another dog belonging to one of the 10 friends saved her.
I believed that Pom Pom was being thrown there by the irresponsible dog owner days before the other dog found her. I mean Pom Pom is practically very cold in the plastic bag. Franky speaking, for a normal person like me going to East Coast Park dressed in a casual Tee and jeans, I can say that I still do feel cold especially with the night breeze.
How can someone be so cruel as in to tie the poor Pom Pom in a red plastic bag? What will happen to Pom Pom if the other dog did not detect her presence in the red plastic bag? What if the 10 friends did not go to East Coast Park for the fishing trip @ Bedok Jetty? I am pretty sure that Pom Pom would have died in very pathetic and sad way....If only when dogs passed away can return to the world as revengeful dogs, I would have believed that Pom pom will return and haunt the owner day and night.
Even if the irresponsible owner does not want to take care of Pom Pom, can't the owner like at least abandone the poor Pom Pom somewhere like SPCA or whatsoever? I mean I do not encourage for pet owners to abandon their pets once they feel like it but at least if the owner were to abandon Pom Pom at SPCA or something, then Pom Pom wouldn't have to suffer the trauma of being tied to a plastic bag and dumped next to the rubbish bin. And I mean "DUMPED" next to a "RUBBISH BIN" by a "STUPID JACKASS IRRESPONSIBLE" owner.
